How do I create a website, cheaply?

So I got this cool idea for selling products to a niche market. However, I don't know the first thing about website design, HTML, domain names, blah, blah, blah… and I don't want to pay a web-designer. I want to do this cheap, not necessarily free, but cheap. What is the best site to help me build my page, that will get me into the big 3 (search engines) and get me noticed, so I can sell, sell, sell? I've been looking at this "buildyoursite.com" and they look pretty user friendly, but I have no clue if it's what I should use… Please, let me know what you think…. Thanks in advance!
A very good site is FreeServers.com. You can get a free subdomain, example: yoursite.freeservers.com, or pay for your own domain, example: yoursite.com through them. Then you design it yourself, or have a webdesigner design it.

Yes, I know you said you don't wanna pay anyone but it would be much easier. I have loads of experience with product-selling websites and would be happy to make a site for you, really cheaply!! I guarantee to beat anyone's quote on this thread (as long as the website is small). I can get your website online and everything… nothing to worry about
If you want to make your own website there are two that I know of that are FREE to use. You won't have your own domain name though. You can go to weebly.com or synthasite.com for ex. of the domain name you'll have. yourdomainname.synthatsite.com and same with the other.
/\ is where you will make your domain name.I perfer both, but more on the weebly.com one because that one lets you know if anyone has been to your website.Before you hit the edit button it has this graph thing that will show you if people have been there.I think it depends on a certain number of people before it begins to show on your graph for your website.
If you wan to eventually pay for a domain name then both sites allow that as well. It's your choice if you want the website FREE or to pay for a domain name.
