do you think windows 7 will kill osx snow leopard?

never has a RC of any MS OS been so positively hailed. It is said to be even better than XP. Microsoft already dominated the OS market with a giant 90% market share. Vista was condemned and univetrsally hated; and because of this, Apple succeeded in invading Windows niche by converting many Windows enthusiasts into Apple fanboys.

But the positive acclaim of MS Windows 7 seems like it will give microsoft further monoploy into the OS market and bring apple (and linux) to their knees. W7 brings the perfomance of XP coupled with the eye candy of Vista

What do you think?

Never! I love MAC, but Win 7 is extremely nice i have the Final RTM on my comp, and i love it no bugs or BETA version i have the final one, and the features are insane better than Vista! Vista is nice but too many niches. Win 7 is a perfect OS, you don’t need any drivers, it picked up all of my comps devices without me having to install anything, plus my comp is custom so normally i have to download the drivers myself. But, like i said MAC is always better, the new MACs come with Windows as a second OS built into it, so you can have MAC and PC apps.

Windows 7 is so bad that it could probably kill a real snow leopard.

    sure it will..

MS has 90% of the server market because of the monopolistic behavior. Novell was king but MS made their products work together in ways Novell couldn’t and Novell also didn’t have the information needed to build support until after the release of windows.

Snow Leopard will make it even easier for developers to tap into a GPU as a resource. Something that will be much harder for developers in windows because if the myriad of hardware and bugs to work around.

If windows server is so great, how come for mission critical apps or high petaflop crunching, you don’t see windows? Look at what it is dominated by.

Vista was rushed out the door and Windows 7 is what Vista should have been. Windows 7 is based off of Vista.

LOL!!! ROFL!!! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!?

The day that PC (Pieces of Crap) succeed in doing ANYTHING better than Macs will be a cold day in hell. Macs can do anything PCs can do, only times 10. Do you have any idea what OSX Snow Leopard can do? For that matter, do you have any idea was REGULAR Leopard can do, comparatively!? Apples to Rotten Oranges, man.

Your argument is hilariously moot. The only reason PCs have a wider fan base is because they’re cheaper and they’ve been out longer. People are scared to switch to Macs just because it’s different. (But once you go Mac, you never go back) Many people have no reason to upgrade. They’re comfortable with Microsoft Word and Windows Explorer…ignorance is bliss.

Anyway, there is no contest, but you got a good laugh out of me.

Nope. Operating systems are a religious issue. Mac users paid a lot of extra money to be able to run Mac OS, so they won’t install Windows (unless they dual boot).

get off that Microsoft dream cloud and read Microsoft’s annual report they have lost and loosing that many business customers to Linux they are afraid of Ubuntu Linux and that’s from the horses mouth

Has for Microsoft dominating the OS market with a giant 90% them days passed three years ago they have lost the monopoly in Europe and the Middle East, and are now losing the monopoly in the states, You do Need to get up to date with whats going on in the IT world

Reported in the first 3 months of this year Microsoft lost over 2 million business internet servers to Linux servers. all their supporters IBM Intel HP Dell Sony are jumping the sinking ship and claiming aboard the flag ship Linux,

Microsoft have never been afraid of Apple Mac but Linux is another story… both in Business Systems and Consumer Systems, Microsoft have lost it’s grip and slipping down that slippery slop and can’t stop it’s downfall to Linux

Catch up with the news from Microsoft own news desk it’s not roamers it’s true facts
